Air Force Aid Society-Laughlin AFB

The Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) can provide emergency financial assistance based upon need, through either interest-free loans or grants, when repayment could cause genuine hardship.

Categories of financial assistance include:

• Basic living expenses (food, shelter, utilities)
• Medical and dental care on a case-by-case basis
• Funeral expenses
• Emergency transportation
• Essential car repairs
• Pay/allotment problems
• Disasters, and Moving Assistance Program (for PCSing personnel)
