Rachel is an Air Force spouse, caregiver, and a dedicated advocate for military families. She provides military caregivers with evidence-based peer support through her role as the outreach and engagement associate at the American Red Cross Military and Veteran Caregiver Network (MVCN). She believes that peer support has a powerful place within the caregiver space and is proud to be able to encourage, educate, and support those caregivers that cross her path.
In addition to her work with MVCN, she volunteers her time to support military families and their caregivers, as a peer support group leader and regional captain for Operation Homefront. Rachel also served as a Dole Fellow for the State of Missouri with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation.
Rachel has a background in veterinarian sciences and microbiology and holds her doctorate in Instructional Leadership in Education. She considers herself a lifelong learner and is passionate about personal identity, aspirations, and cognitive empathy. She currently lives in Missouri with her husband and two children.
